Established in 1999 by Paul and Sue Ing, the company started as an internet-based business. With a strong focus on quality and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Ingnet Antiques has earned a reputation as a trusted name in the industry.
Paul, the co-founder of Ingnet Antiques, developed a passion for antiques in the 1980s while overseeing the refurbishment of a designated building in London by the architect CF Voysey, Cable house. Inspired by the project, he began exploring furniture design by companies and individual’s associated with the Arts & Crafts movement, such as William De Morgan William Morris and Liberty’s , as well as manufacturers such as Shapland & Petter Of Barnstaple. He also became interested in more contemporary designers, including Arthur Simpson and Robert Mouseman Thompson, along with their competitors and apprentices
This passion for antiques led Paul and Sue to establish Ingnet Antiques in 1999. Over the years, the business has grown and expanded, and in 2010, they opened their first premises in the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham. Later, in 2018, they purchased their current expanded showroom, where visitors can now browse their ever-changing inventory.
