An Original Arts & Crafts Oak Desk by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple, with a raised back with a heart shaped pierced gallery with shelves and a matching pair of drawers

The top with a red leather writing surface with tooling, above a central drawer flanked by two sets of 4 graduated drawers

Each drawer has a panelled design front, the whole piece has its original copper handles and escutcheons, and each brass lock is stamped S, P & B.  The structure is supported on eight square tapering supports each with original brass and porcelain castors

Condition: The desk is in superb original condition.  Sympathetically cleaned and waxed, the original leather was beyond repair and this has been replaced to perfectly match the original by our expert team
