A Bespoke Arts & Crafts Oak Desk by Stanley Webb Davies with lovely thumbnail chip carving, signed with SWD monogram in a rectangular cartouche and dated 1955, craftsman’s monogram for Fred Ellison.

Fred Ellison worked for Davies from leaving Windermere Grammar School in 1934 as an apprentice until he retired with the company closed in 1960.
